Numbers

Children enjoy counting and also they love numbers. We have to use the numbers daily in each activity.

Watermelon Seed Counting 

 

Materials:

  • Black buttoms

  •  Watermelon made with cardboard.

Procedure:

The child will put the correct quantity of buttoms in each watermelon.

Printable Seed Counting

 

Pompom Flower

Materials:

  • Pompoms

  • Flashcards of the numbers.

  • Flashcards with the flower stems.

Procedure:

 The child  will  count the stems, match the numbers to the correct flower card, then put on the pompom blossoms.

 

 

Apples & Worms

Materials:

 

  • Printable apple with the number (apple cards)

  • Large green Popsicle Sticks

  • A black Sharpie

  • An X-ACTO knife or pair of scissors

Procedure:

Children will match a numbered worm with the correct apple, the child will slide the Popsicle Stick into the slots that were made on his apple card to make it look like his worm is eating directly on his apple.

 

What could possibly be more fun than adding a few worms to your apples?! Well, if you're a preschooler that is :) These fine motor counting apples are the perfect way to get your little ones ready for fall!

 

 

Sweet Corn

Materials:

  • Corn Templates of (construction paper)

  • Dices

  • Candies

Procedure:

The child will decorate the corn with the candies according to the amount that the dices said. And at the end of the activity, the child can eat them.

Eco Material: Pipe Cleaner counting

Materials:

  • Pipe cleaners (different colors)

  • Paper cups

Procedure:

Children will introduce the correct amount of pipe cleaners in each paper cup.
